    Hi Guys,
I’m a literary agent who is about to set up a self-publshing company because I know just how hard it is for new talent to break through. If you’ve ever considered self-publishing, please answer a few quick market research questions and I’ll enter you in to a prize draw to win a free publication.
I want to creat something that really meets authors’ needs and appreciate your time and feedback:

I’ve had great success with the creation of personal blogs. My publicist, Mindy Schwartz, set up 2 great blogs. One is specifically about my series of satires. It is very promotionally-oriented. The other is more personal. It is about me as an author. Would be glad to share my own experience with others. Writing a book is the easy part. Promoting the book takes hard work. Hello everyone. I’ve been a writer for a few decades, starting out as a playwright in Phila in the 1980s. Recently wrote a YA dystopian novel and have tried most of the tricks about how to get web traffic–developing website, using key words, blogging, getting on the forums. It’s a game of promoting with finesse; not overdoing it. I put in for a FACEBOOK campaign. I’m seeing increased traffic, but so far, no sales. And I’m offering the book (Kindle and Nook) for 99 cents. Not sure where the problems are. Maybe facebook isn’t the best place. Maybe it’s the website itself. Anyone with a little time, take a visit and give me your impression. I’d appreciate it: http://riverdawnnovel.com

After working in marketing for over 35 years, I think the one thing I have learned is that there is no magic bullet. But kind of like the weight of a snowflake, eventually enough of them will even cave in a roof. I am on many social networks where I have maxed out. I have over 70,000 followers on twitter, but still adding, and still waiting for the roof to crash in. To me, it is the journey of writing and making friends, and thus I guess I measure success in a different way than most. Keep writing and promoting my friends.
