This group is gathering a lot of book design talent. I’d like to make use of it by offering to do a Design Review for any self-publisher who would like to submit their book. The easiest way to do this is via a PDF of the cover or interior or both. Please specify whether the book is already for sale or in development and any other information you think is relevant. Take a chance–your book will be the better for it!

Okay, we have our first sample. I’ve posted it to a blog post because I needed to attach the PDF Brian Spaeth sent me of his self-published book, “Prelude to a Super Airplane” and as soon as it clears moderation I’ll post a link here so anyone can download the sample and give Brian some feedback.

I’ve written up the first Design Review for Brain Spaeth on a blog post. You can also add comments and look at his samples if you like. Here’s the link: http://bit.ly/5Hn0RT

I guess I’m not sure how to do this. I’d like to submit my fifth book, LIGHT ALWAYS CHANGES, a short novel now available in POD from CreateSpace and being serialized at http://www.lightalwayschangesnovel.wordpress.com

PDFs are available of both the cover and the interior, but I’m not sure where to send them.

We’ve got two more books for Design Review, which I’m working on now. The first is Waiting for Spring by RJ Keller, then we’ll be looking at Levi Montgomery’s Light Always Changes. Thanks for sending these in! Also, the blog comments area is a great place for others to share their opinions too. I look forward to hearing from some of the other designers and publishers here.

Joel, I’d like to submit mine, but via email, if I could, please.

Joel, I’d be happy to submit a copy of The Fiddler’s Gun for your dissection. Just shoot me an email via this link and let me know where to mail it.

This is the cover design that I am playing around with for my first novel. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/leapetra/cover2-1.png I chose the colors and simple layout to try to grab your eye on the computer screen.
One thing that I have played around with, was using a real object on the cover, but that seemed distracting.

Can someone tell me how to find a particular cover and exactly where to post comments on it? I mean, I see the links, but where is the discussion?
