I have recently self published my book, Goa Traffic (available on amazon) – where the protagonist is a young woman looking for love. It does detail the relationships she has especially between her friends and her mother and Mr Right that she finds herself drawn to. However the book takes a turn to a darker side and she ends up getting involved in something rather dangerous (thanks to this new man in her life)- there is hardly any humour towards the end! Is this classed as Chick lit or both?! I find picking a suitable genre all very confusing.
