Boudica, I agree with you on the usefulness of OneNote. I just recently got a smartphone and am learning how to use OneNote on it and Microsoft Skydrive to sync my files while I’m away from the computer, which […]

As a writer, I’m constantly coming up with new worlds, new characters and new storylines to fill the novels that I write. I find it can be somewhat difficult keeping a good mental picture of some of my […]

I recently had the honor of reading the first installment in Tom Barczak’s new short story series, Awakening Evarun . If you’ve never heard of Tom Barczak, I can understand. Awakening Evarun is his first ‘published’ piece of work, but I found this debut piece of fantasy to be quite entertaining. I had the opportunity to speak with [...]

Addison and Michael, I agree with both of you – for the most part. There are advantages to hitting LOCAL bookstores. I’ve had wonderful experiences with local Bookmans (used bookstores here in AZ) and I’ve learned to crawl out of my shy shell and interact with people more. I don’t think books are going to [...]

Ron, I try my best not to be bitter. Do these things bother me? Yes, of course not getting paid bothers me. But I need to do what I can and keep moving forward in my own projects as opposed to getting hung up on these trivial disputes. :D

Before I get into my experience with Borders, I want to clear one thing up. I’m not trying to complain or vent about not receiving payment for a few books. I don’t think the world needs to be turned upside down for such things. This is simply my experience and the way I handled it. [...]

I wholeheartedly agree, Myne. It can be difficult to swallow a bad review, but we need to be mature about the responses we get to our writing.

Thanks Wesley. I agree about how we all could use a little bit more internet etiquette. :)

Now that self-publishing has taken off like the California Gold Rush, the internet – and bookstores – are booming with self-made creations of literary wonder. Because of this, it’s tougher for the readers out there to sift through the mess to find the gems that they will eventually fall in love with. What is a [...]

Thanks, B.C. I think it’s a great idea for you to put aside certain time in the morning to write. I’m attempting that right now with 8am-12:30pm which includes fiction writing and my blog, but it’s still somewhat difficult sitting still for that long.

I agree, Roh, it’s not easy to stay focused, but it’s essential if we want to succeed. :D
