I have recently submitted my work to the writers digest self publishing contest. I don’t expect to win grand prize, but even an honorable mention would be good enough to further promote my book.
I entered my first novel in the Writer’s Digest self-publishing competition last year and my second novel this year. So far as I know, WD hasn’t yet announced the results of this year’s competition. I’m not sure how interested WD is in truly independent writers. I’ve gotten the impression they’re looking for ”independent” authors who actually wish to break into the traditional publishing world. In any event, Victorio, my best wishes to you. I’ll look for your name when I see this year’s winners. I doubt that I’ll find my own.
Thanks. My submission is the first volume of what I expect to be at least 3 volumes of a series. So best case scenario I’m hoping that my series can be picked up and continued by a traditional pub based on my self published 1st volume. I was informed that winners will be announced somewhere between October and December. Hopefully me and you will be among them in our respected categories.
