Agreed with all of the above! Like all indie authors, I think, I struggle with marketing and getting my name out there. I do my best but I’ve been at this for three months and I’m unsure what I’m doing that is helping and/or hurting me.

Great post! I was wondering, did you give the bookstore a cut of your profits? What was the benefit to them that convinced them to allow you to sell in their store?

I would say yes, there does become a critical mass. Look at Zoe Winters. She has multiple books out and has said multiple times that it’s her backlist which keeps her in business.
